The generator always works with five colors. Start by generating a full palette, then lock the colors that establish the direction. The next generation keeps those locked colors in place and replaces only the unlocked ones. You can also type an exact six-digit HEX value into any swatch when a brand color or known design token has to stay precise.

Two structured ways to restart
Analogous
Creates five related hues positioned near each other around the hue circle, with lightness variation to keep the result from becoming a flat row of similar colors.
Monochrome
Uses one hue at several lightness levels. It is useful when you want a restrained scale or a quick starting point for one-color interface treatments.
Choosing either harmony mode intentionally starts a fresh unlocked palette, so lock state is cleared.
